RE-ELECT MAYOR GILBERT WONG FOR CUPERTINO CITY COUNCIL

DEAR NEIGHBORS,
CUPERTINO HAS A BRIGHT FUTURE and I want to continue to work with you realize the promise of Cupertino. Together, we can make Cupertino the best place in the Silicon Valley for families to work, live and play-a Cupertino we can all be proud of!
As your Mayor, I have been an independent voice on behalf of the resident of Cupertino, asking the tough question and analyzing all aspects of the issues that come before me on the council. I am running for re-election for City Council because I want to maintain our quality of life and our suburban integrity for my family as well as yours.
I want to continue to keep a strong Cupertino in the next four years by assisting Apple with its expansion plans of its HQ, continuing our Stevens Creek Trail creek restoration from Blackberry Farm to the Stocklimeir Property, revitalizing our retail centers like Vallco Mall and the Cupertino Crossroads and maintain our high levels of services from public safety and keeping our library open seven days a week.
In these tough economic times, we need visionary and experienced leadership to lead Cupertino. Together, we can achieve all that we dream for our community. I will continue to work hard as your representative on the Cupertino City Council, and I ask for your vote.
Sincerely,
Gilbert

BALLOT STATEMENT It is an honor and a privilege to serve the residents of Cupertino. In a recent survey conducted in October, 97% of residents said that they were satisfied with the services and quality of life in Cupertino. As your Mayor, I am committed to maintaining this high level of satisfaction. Cupertino remains strong despite a challenging economic environment. Our public schools are rated the best in the nation. Apple has announced plans to break ground on an attractive, environmentally sustainable national headquarters which will keep jobs in Cupertino. I have balanced the budget, increased library hours to keep our doors open seven days a week, added two additional school crossing guards, and designated the funds necessary to complete the restoration of the Stevens Creek Trail. Cupertino truly is a place to work, play, and live. Through my focus on accountability, fiscal responsibility and improving dialogue between residents, businesses and schools, Cupertino will continue to live up to this promise. Please join Mike Honda, Joe Simitian, Paul Fong, Liz Kniss and Orrin Mahoney as I respectfully ask for your vote to re-elect Gilbert Wong to the City Council on November 8th.
